Cincoro Tequila – Michael Jordan

Cincoro Old Fashioned

I’ll be honest, I like my Old Fashioned made with expensive whiskey paired with a nice cigar. But if you want to feel like Michael Jordan this holiday, try out an Old Fashioned with his tequila.

2 1/2 oz. Cincoro Añejo Tequila
1/2 oz. Light agave nectar
3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Glass and garnish: Rocks glass, Orange swath and Maraschino cherry

Method: Pour ingredients into a mixing glass, stir and strain directly in a rocks glass over ice.

Cincoro Diablo

An El Diablo is pretty much a standard tequila cocktail and this one from the G.O.A.T. won’t disappoint.

2 oz. Cincoro Reposado Tequila
6 oz. Muddled blackberries
1/2 oz. Agave nectar
Top with 2 oz. ginger beer and a splash of soda water

Glass and garnish: Collins glass, Lime wheel and Fresh blackberry

Teremana Tequila – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Strawberry Cucumber Mana Fresca

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson clearly understands that on this holiday, substituting a proven water recipe with tequila creates a winning formula. Just remember to drink actual water at some point please.

1 cup Water
1 cup Cucumber, peeled and sliced
1 cup Strawberry, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup Lime juice
1/2 cup Sugar

Avo Colada

Two of the most refreshing drinks are combined into one in this recipe: Piña colada and avocado smoothie. If you’ve never had avocado in a cocktail or blended as a drink, trust me, treat yourself.

2 oz. Teremana Blanco
1 oz. Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Agave
1/2 Avocado
2 tbsp. Coconut yogurt

Muddle. Shake. Strain over fresh ice. Top with sparkling mineral water. Garnish with a lime.

Casamigos Tequila – George Clooney

Spicy Carrot Cilantro Margarita

I fall into the category of people who don’t enjoy cilantro but I won’t take away a George Clooney-approved recipe with it. Let me know how this goes.

1 oz. Casamigos Mezcal
1 oz. Casamigos Reposado Tequila
1 oz. Carrot juice
1/2 oz. Fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. Simply syrup

Garnish with carrot peel, cilantro sprig and cayenne salt

Instructions: Combine all ingredients into tin shaker. Muddle serrano/cilantro. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice with crushed ice dome and garnish.

Aloe Vera Margarita

This one is more my pace. I love the refreshing and soothing feeling from aloe vera drinks so adding some tequila just makes it more fun.

2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1 1/2 oz. Aloe vera juice
1/2 oz. Fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. Aloe vera infused syrup*
Garnish with fresh aloe vera leaf

Instructions: Combine all ingredients into tin shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice and garnish.

* To create aloe vera infused syrup – bring 12 cups of water to a boil in a large pot, then bring down to a simmer and add fresh peeled aloe vera to infuse. Let soak for 20-25 minutes, then fine strain into another large saucepan. Add 12 cups of sugar and bring back to a boil. Stir well until fully dissolved then let cool. Once cool, store in a sealed container and refrigerate. Good for 2-3 weeks.
