11 Music Festivals you need to know about in 2022

We’re back on y’all!

Festival Season. We know it, we love it. And after 2 years of lockdowns and social distancing, many of us are ready to head out to the grounds and valleys to get our fix. Even though we don’t seem to be out of the woods with COVID-19 just yet, many fests are taking precautions to make sure they’re having a safe (though fun) environment.

So here’s a list of some of the most popular festivals, when they’re happening, and who’s headlining. And don’t worry if they’re sold out or if you can’t make it—you’d be surprised how immersive a livestream can be. (I certainly caught Beychella 2018 during a college dorm desk shift and had a great time).

Are there any festivals that are on your radar? So far, we’ve yet to hear announcements from other fests, like ComplexLand and ComplexCon. But we do know that ComplexLand will happen between May 25-27 in the metaverse and ComplexCon will take place between November 19-20 in Long Beach, California.

Also, Afro Fest 2022 is yet to be announced, lineup-wise as well. But regardless, we’re keeping our eyes peeled.

In other news, have you heard about the When We Were Young Fest debacle that happened a few months ago? There’s definitely warning signs to look out for before your next festival. Always be conscious as a consumer! (And, don’t forget your mask).
