6 best Reusable products for Earth Day 2022

It’s a team effort.

By now, we all know that plastic is overflowing in landfills and oceans—it’s even floating in the atmosphere. It’s sad and irritating, and the problem won’t be fixed by consumers reducing their usage of single-use plastics—businesses must play a role as well. However, reducing the amount of waste we make can offer us a sense of control, not to mention the fact that buying a thing only once can save you a lot of money.

The best reusable products are those that you’ll want to use over and over again. So, here is a small selection of our favorite reusable items to do our part for Earth Day 2022.

1. Miir Narrow Mouth Bottle

A water bottle is a fantastic choice if you just buy one reusable item. Having a bottle with you makes sense if you’re traveling to work, going on hikes, or otherwise spending time away from a constant source of water. You won’t have to waste money on many bottles, and you won’t have to throw away the plastic after you’re finished. The Miir Narrow Mouth Bottle is one of the best out there. It has a curled lip for easy drinking, and is practically bombproof! There’s a 20oz and 27oz option too.

Buy the Narrow Mouth Bottle from Miir for $17.95 (20oz) or $19.95 (27oz) in either black or white.

2. Silicone Drinking Straws

Straws are considerably more appealing to many when it comes to drinking. People actually drink a lot more water when they have a straw. Metal straws are a good option, but for many, silicone straws are preferable. This pack of 4 silicone straws is reliable, and will last you a while.

Buy the Softy Straws from Amazon for $11.99 (on sale from $17.99).

3. Unpaper Towels

Paper towels have their place, but it’s all too easy to use too many while cleaning up. Marley’s Monsters Unpaper Towels are highly absorbent and long-lasting, and they stick together so you can roll them up like regular towels. They might be a little bit more costly, but if you think about it, how many packs of disposable paper towels do you buy in a year? This may be more beneficial for you in the long run.

Buy Marley’s Monster Unpaper Towels in an assortment of patterns for $16 (6-pack), $30 (12-pack) or $54 (24-pack).

4. Bee’s Wrap Wraps

This reusable beeswax wrap will help you cut down on plastic wraps in your life. This brand employs organic cotton and beeswax from sustainable sources (along with jojoba oil and tree resin). They’re also waterproof, thanks to the beeswax. Just make sure to use cold water while rinsing them between usage. Hot water can cause the wax to melt.

Buy whichever design you like from Bee’s Wrap starting from $5.99 for individual wraps to $29.99 for bundle deals.

5. Stasher Bags

Stasher bags are definitely one of my favorite reusable items. They’re a silicone alternative to single-use Ziploc bags and they come in a variety of sizes to suit your need—from sandwiches and snacks, to holding bolts and nuts together. You won’t have to worry about cleaning them because they’re dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe. They’re even suitable for sous vide cooking! What are you waiting for?

Buy your desired Stasher Bag size now with 25% off sitewide from $7.49 to $103.49.

6. LastSwab

We shouldn’t use cotton swabs to clear wax in our ears, but many of us do. They can also be used to repair or remove makeup, as well as to clean dust and grime from small crevices. Q-Tips are a waste of money. The LastSwab aims to put an end to this. Basic, Beauty, and Baby (all $12) are the three possibilities, and they’re all constructed of rubber-like TPE. One carrying case is made of recycled plastic, while the other is constructed of PLA, a plant-based polymer. They’re simple to clean, using only water and soap, or rubbing alcohol if preferred.

Buy the LastSwab of your choosing now for $12 from lastobject.com.
