Hip-hop started out in the park and is now a globally respected art form. Hip-hop has been the leading genre in the country for years, so it’s no surprise that some of the most viewed videos of all-time were crafted by rappers. Not many artists in any genre can say that a visual that accompanied one of their songs has more than 1 billion views on YouTube. Several rappers can, however.

The most recent hip-hop hit to reach a billion in views on YouTube is a song that dropped almost two decades ago. 2020 reminded us how lit Nelly’s old anthems still are. So it’s no surprise that “Dilemma,” the Kelly Rowland-assisted No. 1 song from the platinum-selling St. Louis rapper’s sophomore album, Nellyville, surpassed a billion YouTube views not too long ago.

One of Cardi B’s most successful records continues to get video plays also. Her diamond-certified single “Bodak Yellow” hit a billi views only months prior to Nelly’s “Dilemma.” 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” is still in demand also. The Southside Jamaica, Queens-bred entertainment mogul’s breakthrough record passed that milestone just last year.

Some oldies will forever be goodies, like these hip-hop videos that have more than 1 billion views on YouTube. Check out the rap visuals that people can’t seem to stop watching.
