All jokes aside, replace your 3-in-1 with these Body Washes

I’m not going to deep dive into why you need to replace your 3-in-1 shampoo/body wash/conditioner. I know you’ve heard the jokes, the slander, and the outrage. My hope is that you have since thrown it out and have seen the light of day with three separate shower products. You’ve found your perfect shampoo and conditioner (just make sure it doesn’t have DMDM hydantoin) but you’re still searching around for the right body wash. Maybe it’s just me, but when you find the right body wash, it’s a form of leveling up your self-care routine. There’s something about the scent, the consistency, and the way it makes you smell/feel post-shower that can change your whole mood.

1. Method Men Body Wash – Cedar and Cypress ($7)

I think branding products for men and women is useless and restrictive, but we can talk about that another day. If you are looking for a gel body wash that has a pleasant yet mild scent, does the job, and doesn’t empty your wallet, this is for you. It’s a great option for warmer months and the woodsy scent isn’t too overpowering on those warmer, more humid summer days.

2. Native – Eucalyptus and Mint ($8)

A lot of people have been riding the wave of putting a eucalyptus plant in their shower for that at-home spa experience, but if you’re anything like me, you’re not a fan of plants in the shower and would prefer to find other ways of replicating the spa-like experience. The Native body wash has somewhat of a hybrid texture, a little bit gel, a little bit cream. This is another great option if you are looking for something with a mild scent that also cleans without stripping moisture from your skin.

3. Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash for Dry Skin ($8.19)

I love the two gel wash options but East Coast winter dryness doesn’t play games and neither do I. During the colder seasons, I opt for a cream body wash. Dove is kind is a household name when it comes to cream body washes so I don’t think I need to go into detail about why this should be an option.

4. (MALIN + GOETZ) – Rum Hand and Body Wash ($24 – 36)

Yes, we’ve entered the bougie tier. I can’t be out here saying that an all-star body wash can make you feel like a whole new person and not include some bougie options. Not only can this be used as a body wash, but it’s also one of my favorite hand washes. So if you really think about it, you’re definitely getting a bang for your buck. (MALIN + GOETZ) is one of very few brands that I look to when it comes to premium hand and body care. Their scents are unmatched and very hard to find and replicate. I’m not the biggest fan of decadent scents, but the rum scent is out of this world. It’s the perfect mix of decadence and musk. If you’ve made it this far into my little love letter to this scent, then just go try it for yourself. I swear you will never feel the same again.

5. Aēsop – Citrus Melange Body Cleanser ($17)

I don’t think I’m able to mention (MALIN + GOETZ) without mentioning Aēsop – it would feel negligent if I did. You already know that I am a huge fan of their hand cream, so naturally, I am a fan of their body care too.  Some people aren’t a fan of musky or woodsy scents in their shower and they just want to feel and smell squeaky clean. This citrus-scented gel body wash does a great job of cutting through body odor and helping you achieve that refreshing “ahhhhh” feeling after you step out of the shower. Not to mention you’ll feel hella expensive afterward too.
