Ingredients
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Essential oils (three: for top, middle and base)
- Distilled Water
- Glycerin (vegetable oil – to help stick to your skin)
- Spray bottle
- Optional: dried flower
How To Make Cologne
Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the fragrance scale
- Top notes are the first thing you smell, middle will come through once the top dries. and the base will be the cologne’s foundation
- Use 60 percent of base notes, 30 percent middle notes and 10 percent top notes
Step 2: Blend all Essential Oils together
- Experts recommend dropping a few oils in, one at a time, and mixing – suggesting a total of 30 drops
- Once this is done, add two ounces of alcohol
Step 3: Marinate
- Allow all ingredients to sit and mix for at least 48 hours and then refrigerate for a couple weeks before use
- Shake after refrigeration
Step 4: Dilute
- Add two tablespoons of distilled water and five drops of glycerin
