French luxury fragrance brand, Diptyque, has introduced its very first household cleaning collection. You may recognize the brand from their usual scented candles, perfume oil diffuses, eau de parfum, and eau de toilette, and this line of production took somewhat of a natural ascension with the introduction of the new collection.

The new collection is called “La Droguerie,” which, according to the website, is “a new collection of eco-friendly household products combining the good, the beautiful and the useful.” The collection includes products for the living room, bedroom, laundry room, and the kitchen. The products blend beauty and utility with a conscious respect for the environment.

The “La Droguerie” collection’s formulas use biodegradable components that are 99% natural or derived from natural sources. The formulas’ ingredients and fragrances were developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux, a friend of Maison Diptyque, in a way that ideally balances environmental responsibility and sensuous pleasure. Both aspects are extremely important for this collection, which promises to add a sense of refinement to any home.

You can degrease and de-gunk your walls, countertops, tiles, and crisper drawers with the help of the Multi-Surface Cleaner, which is made with lavender, cedar wood, and fig trees and spiked with vinegar.

The dishwashing liquid with orange flower undertones is as refreshing and exciting as it sounds, providing a subtly fragrant foamy quality while serving as a covert design element.

These items are  joined by a leather and woodcare polishing lotion with beeswax, as well as a reusable scented oval with cedar wood and lavender that can be hung with  clothing, and an odor-absorbing candle that replaces unpleasant odors with scents of of fresh basil, mint, and crushed tomato leaves. All products are housed in refillable amber glass bottles.

If the past 2 years have taught us anything, it’s that we have to take care of our environment and make sure that it is bringing us joy. One of the spaces we spend the most time in is our home, and why not splurge on a collection of beautifully designed and delightfully scented household cleaning items. Mrs. Meyers, though a great brand, has gotten us far enough. Your cleaning cabinet may be due for a little upgrade and we can’t think of a better one.
