Clean eating has become very popular over the years. Essentially, to eat clean one must eat fresh, whole foods. The idea is to only eat foods that are as close to nature as possible, taking proceeded foods off the list. To help you out, below are a few steps to take to eat clean.

Consume More Fruits and Vegetables

Loaded with fiber, vitamins, and minerals that help fight inflammation – fruits and vegetables are the best thing for you. You can consume them raw or cooked in salads or protein dishes.

Load Up On Water

Water is the cleanest thing you can drink. It has no artificial sweeteners, sugars or additives. It keeps you hydrated and can help you lose weight.

Limit Proceeded Foods

Processed foods are foods that have been modified and manipulated from their natural state with either excess sugar, chemicals or other harmful ingredients – so stop putting them in your body.

No More Added Sugar

Look for foods in the grocery store with no added sugar.

Read Labels

Rule of thumb here: if you can’t pronounce the ingredients on a label, you shouldn’t be eating it.

Eliminate Refined Carbs

Too many carbs can lead to obesity, heart disease and inflammation. Stay away from white bread and packaged cereal.
