After the holidays and last week’s pro-Trump rallies, we wouldn’t blame you for over indulging in that extra glass (or four) of wine. On another note, before awkward Zoom first dates, we also wouldn’t judge if you equipped yourself with some liquid courage. On regular hangover days, you might feel like the sight, smell or even thought of food makes you nauseous. Other days, it feels like everyone is shouting, the walls are spinning, or that regardless of how much water you guzzle, you are permanently thirsty.

We of course are not condoning drinking but more so saying, if you’re going to do it – you might as well know how to nurse a hangover. And shockingly, we have the perfect, secret ingredient – and it’s not Pedialyte or Gatorade. Enter: bone broth.

Bone broth, or broth simmered in your chose of poultry bones and vegetables, is a great immune system and gut clean out food. Loaded with protein, calcium and amino acids, it allows the body to relax from digestion and soothes inflammation. And because most hangover side effects are caused by dehydration, the electrolytes (magnesium, sodium, and potassium) found in bone broth heals and seals the gut intestine, putting you on an instant road to recovery.

By sipping on bone broth the morning after drinking, you will feel refreshed, restored and totally yourself again.
