Hennessy has been doing their annual artist series collaboration for a minute now – they started in 2011 with a KAWS bottle and have worked with legends like Futura and OSGEMEOS to name a few. They’ve also been known to do multiple bottles with one artist – as was the case with Shepard Fairey and Ryan McGinness. This year, the V.S Limited Edition bottle was done in collaboration with Les Twins.
The world-renowned French dance duo are some of the baddest dancers and b-boys on the block. They were the inaugural winners of World of Dance and have a style that flows like water. Their new school style of popping and locking as well as floor transitions is a great representation of the new age French dance style. Hennessy used motion capture technology to create the two unique designs from Laurent and Larry Bourgeois’ movements.
Excited for this special partnership, Les Twins had this to say about the collaboration:
“Visiting the Château de Bagnolet was like walking into a chapter of French history. And we knew we wanted to create something completely new because the Maison has such an incredible story, with so much passion behind it. Believe it or not, their saga resonates with the story of Les Twins, 250 years later.”
With smooth moves that translate surprisingly accurately onto the “LIL BEAST” and “CA BLAZE” bottles, Hennessy and Les Twins have managed to bridge together art, dance, design, heritage and street culture all into a 750mL bottle. If you’re interested in learning more or purchasing the Hennessy V.S Limited Edition Les Twins bottles, head over to hennessy.com now. Both bottles are on sale now and have a retail price of $42 each.
Additionally, Hennessy also created two cocktails each named after the bottles. Laurent’s LIL BEAST cocktail will remind you of French pastries while Larry’s CA BLAZE cocktail is based off childhood memories and has a more floral and spicy kick to it. Check out the recipes below to make your own.
