It used to be easy to spot a Kid Cudi fan. That just is not the case any more. Diehard fans of the multifaceted artist, actor and producer come from all walks of life. Evidence that his impact has transcended stereotypes and the boundaries of genres can be found at his amped up live performances, in the lyrics of other artists and in Cudi’s lengthy list of collaborators.

Who hasn’t worked with Kid Cudi at this point?

The A Kid Named Cudi artist’s melodies, hooks and hums have appeared on tracks with some of the greatest artists of all-time. Some of the best rappers alive, including JAY-Z, Eminem and Kanye West have shown love to Cudi’s musical contributions.

As one of Yeezy’s secret weapons, Cudi helped curate the vibe of West’s 808’s & Heartbreak (2008). The Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ artist has assisted the College Dropout rapper on critically acclaimed projects like 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, 2013’s Yeezus and 2016’s The Life of Pablo. The frequent collaborators even completed a joint album together called Kids See Ghosts in 2018.

Kid Cudi is an undisputed forefather of what many people have coined emo rap. He’s garnered praise from many of the leaders of the new school in hip-hop and r&b. The “Day ‘n’ Nite” artist has also collaborated with a few of them. Cudi recently made an unexpected, but fitting appearance on “Moon Man,” a track on Young Thug’s star-studded YSL compilation, Slime Language 2.

Last year, Mr. Rager scored one of his biggest hits, working with culture curator Travis Scott — an artist who has often paid homage to him. Their collaboration, “The Scotts” premiered during Travis’ epic Astronomical Fortnite event and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Respect for Kid Cudi runs deeper than rap

Kid Cudi’s influence is felt outside of hip-hop too. The artist that has worked with everyone from Akon to Michael Bolton, has also had lucrative creative partnerships with influential clothing brands. Cudi’s creative genius has inspired and designed sneakers and apparel for iconic brands such as 10 Deep, adidas, A.P.C. and BAPE.

Kid Cudi is a king of collaborations. He has so many dope collabs that need to be acknowledged, so we took it upon ourselves to put together a playlist full of tracks featuring him and others. Check out our Kid Cudi: King of Collaborations playlist below.
