Usually Wednesday mornings are reserved for a new edition of Rock, Stock or Flip? but this week features a lot of repeats from last week and nothing special. Actually that’s not true because this weekend the public will get to see more than a handful of Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers at an exhibition.
First seen in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2022 show, the first 200 pairs were released through a Sotheby’s auction earlier this year. The classic LV Monogram version came with a unique orange pilot case as well. Now, with an imminent public release on the horizon for other colorways, Louis Vuitton has decided to put on an exhibition in NYC.
Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh will be open to the public from May 21-31, 2022. “The expansive showcase charts the creative dialogue between Nike and Louis Vuitton envisioned by the Maison’s Men’s Artistic Director Virgil Abloh for the Spring-Summer 2022 collection prior to his passing on November 28, 2021.”
In total, 47 of the Air Force 1 editions designed by Virgil will be displayed in physical and virtual form in “immersive spaces reflective of the designer’s domains of creation and presentation.” That means you’ll be able to see both the AF1 Low and AF1 Mid iterations he created.
Also coinciding with the exhibit, Louis Vuitton and Nike partnered with Snapchat for unlockable Snapchat Lens filters around Manhattan and Brooklyn. You can check out the Snap Map here to see where to go.
Installations will also take place around the world but details for those are sparse at the moment.
Where will it take place
Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh will take place at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn. Once again it will run from May 21-31, 2022 and we expect lines to be long to get in so plan accordingly.

73 West Street
Brooklyn, NY 11222
Made by hand, you will have a rare chance to see these up close and personal in all their entirety at the exhibition. It might also be the last time to catch them all together in one space as these could more than likely command regional exclusive colorway releases. It’s also more than likely that if/when they release, VIP’s will get their picks before anyone in the public even gets a shot.
You can check out the video of a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of these beautiful sneakers below.
If you plan to head over to the exhibition, bring water in case of long lines cause summertime has finally arrived in NYC.
