McDonald’s is getting into the holiday spirit this year with their version of an advent calendar. Rewarding users that spend a minimum of $1 on their app, the mega fast food franchise will give away free items each day inspired by a movie or character that connects with this time of year.

The giveaways started yesterday with a free double cheeseburger for The Griswolds. Today’s free Big Mac is a meal fit for The Abominable Snow Monster and tomorrow is a free Egg McMuffin for The Grinch. Other references include John McClane, Rudolph, Gizmo, Buddy the Elf, Scrooge, Frosty the Snowman, Frank Constanza and of course Santa.
