Michael B. Jordan and Amazon are here to save your summer

Amplifying Black and Brown voices in film.

With everything going on – Coronavirus, Donald Trump(ness), and police brutality – it’s so important to find a positive, entertaining outlet. It helps to dim out some of the darkness and can alter your mood in the best way. 

Amazon and Michael B. Jordan are that outlet right now. On July 1st, the two launched a nationwide drive-in series where you can pull up to one of the 20 cities across the country and watch one of their hand selected movies. “A Night at the Drive-In” will feature multicultural voices in the industry. “With this drive-in summer series, I hope that friends and families are able to not only enjoy, but to learn and grow,” Jordan said in a press release. 

Michael B. Jordan and his production company, Outlier Society, want to amplify Black and Brown stories to the wider audience in order to educate the world on the culture and the struggle. He hopes the series will, “reimagine community and proximity.” 

We are so pleased that Michael B. Jordan had this idea that gets us out of the house but still has social distancing in mind. Check out the closest theater to you and enjoy the films below:

Aug. 26 — Movies to Make You Laugh: “Coming to America”, “Girls Trip”
