Did you know that most NYC museums are planning to reopen by early September? We’re just as excited as you are. We never thought that we would see this part through—after all, going to museums and enjoying what New York has to offer is one of the biggest pleasures of being in the art capital of the world.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo gave museums and cultural institutions in the city the okay to re-open (in a safe way) and welcome visitors again starting August 24, and many of these museums began announcing their opening dates. Though museums will be operating on a smaller capacity, we’re honestly not too upset about it (as we may finally be able to see paintings without herds of people in front of them). After long stretches of virtual exhibitions and gallery viewing, we will get to experience some semblance of normality when encountering art. Now you can plan to see art in person at the following museums:
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
