It’s about damn time! This week’s Fire Finds should come as NO surprise. Pharrell Williams is 47-years-old but the guy hasn’t aged one bit since he broke onto the scene 30 years ago with Chad Hugo as part of The Neptunes production duo. So the launch of a skincare line from the famed designer, singer, producer and entrepreneur is met with open arms and enthusiasm from myself (and I’m sure many other fans).
Humanrace, the name of the new skincare collection, continues to follow Pharrell’s branding that started with adidas and his message of inclusion and a global race that embraces one another. The initial collection for Humanrace will feature a rice powder cleanser, lotus enzyme exfoliator and “humidifying cream” moisturizer.
Priced at $32, the rice powder cleanser will arrive in a dust-like state and is meant to be mixed with water to create an emulsion which has kaolin clay and alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) to help brighten skin and soften lines. The lotus enzyme exfoliator is priced at $46 and its glycolic acid will not only exfoliate but also repair your skin. Finally, the most expensive item is the moisturizer which will run you $48. Crafted from a mix of snow mushroom extract, rice water, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and squalane, this is probably the “secret” to Pharrell’s youthful glow and a must-have.
And with any Pharrell product, you know the packaging will be on point. Arriving in a green container, they are eco-friendly and made from 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. The collection will launch on November 25 on humanrace.com and we’re hype to add this to holiday gift lists and for our personal consumption.
“We believe that every individual has the potential to understand themselves better, and wake up everyday feeling empowered to turn good intentions into actions. Our goal is to help you in this quest.”
