A lot of heat for back to school!

School is back in session and for sneakerheads, they’ll be given a lesson in proper collaborations this week. Not only is the second pair of sacai x fragment design x Nike LDWaffle sneakers releasing, but there’s also a pair from CLOT too. The adidas and Kanye West YZY QNTM returns in a blacked out edition and Joe Freshgoods’ long-awaited New Balance is set to drop finally. AND Social Status takes us on a literal journey back to school with their “Free Lunch” “Chocolate Milk” Dunks. Let’s jump right into it.

sacai x fragment x Nike LDWaffle “Light Smoke Grey”

Easily one of the best colorways on the LDWaffle to date, this week’s grey version drops two weeks after it’s dark blue counterpart. Once again combining old school aesthetics with new age technology and subtle details, this is the definition of the perfect marriage between mesh and suede. If you still haven’t landed a pair from raffles, hit up SNKRS app for another chance.

Release Date: September 8, 2021 DELAYED September 15, 2021

Nike Air Max BW “Persian Violet”

One of the most underrated Air Max sneakers, the BW silhouette –with its hard curves and wide shape — is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. There’s no better way to celebrate such a big birthday then with the return of an OG colorway. With its iconic large Air unit, mesh accents and plushy padded sockliner, these are any OG’s dream. Hit up SNKRS app and various retailers to cop.

Release Date: September 9, 2021
Retail: $130
Resell pre-release: $135 – $470

adidas YZY QNTM “Onyx”

While I’m not a fan of the fit or design of these basketball sneakers, an all-black variation will have resellers and Ye fans scrambling to cop – especially after his DONDA outfit and performance. adidas has learned to make hyped releases in sizes for the whole family and these are no different. Winter-ready, these are hitting Confirmed app and select retailers this weekend.

Resell pre-release: $230 – $450

Joe Freshgoods x New Balance Made in USA 990v3 (M990JG3)

Designer Joe Freshgoods‘ latest New Balance collaboration has us truly missing summer and the spirit of fun block parties and kicking it with the homies. Part of his “Outside Clothes” capsule collection, the beautiful brown, green and blue color-blocking is hard to miss. Joe only has the finest pig suede uppers and custom JFG foxing and insoles to boot. These are a must and will be available from newbalance.com and select retailer raffles like END.

Release Date: September 10, 2021
Retail: $220
Resell pre-release: $325 – $2,000

Social Status x Nike “Free Lunch” Dunk Mid “Chocolate Milk”

Social Status has tapped into nostalgia and overcoming struggle with their latest Nike collaboration. Low income families got free school lunch and the chocolate milk carton was a staple that I’m sure many, like myself, can remember vividly even today. By choosing the Dunk Mid, often neglected, the pearlescent Swoosh, mini Swoosh and rope laces, these really take you back to simpler times. A modified tongue tab, ingredients list on the heel panel and special packaging takes these way over the top. Social Status is doing in-store raffles for Atlanta, Charlotte, Greensboro, Houston, Pittsburgh, Raleigh and Tampa Bay locations online. For everyone else, you’ll have to try your luck via socialstatuspgh.com at 11am EST.

Release Date: September 10, 2021
Retail: N/A
Resell pre-release: $1,200

sacai x CLOT x Nike LDWaffle “Orange Blaze”

sacai’s collaborations with fragment design on Nike LDWaffle models have come to an end but that just means that their CLOT and UNDERCOVER collaborations will see daylight soon. Drawing inspiration from their iconic 2006 Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death,” CLOT has used that color palette to fully take advantage of the LDWaffle’s design to give each section the perfect accent colors. They’ve even brought back the snakeskin Swoosh on top of a reflective Swoosh! Hit up SNKRS app and retailers like END. to cop in addition to JUICE STORES across the world and sacai’s global locations.

Release Date: September 9 & September 14, 2021
Retail: $170
Resell pre-release: $290 – $1,100
