Rock, Stock or Flip? This week’s sneaker releases – June 16, 2021

Lots of money-making and stunting options.

It’s mid-June and New York has met its vaccination goal and has fully reopened alongside California. To celebrate the return to the outdoors and society in general, why not cop a fresh pair of kicks? This week’s options will be extremely hard to get your hands on but the effort is always worth the reward. Let’s jump right into it.

Nike Dunk Low “Dusty Olive”

Meant to pay homage to the CO.JP Dunks from 2001, specifically the “Ugly Duckling” pack, this blend of brown, green and orange on the low-top silhouette looks fire and ready for not only the summer months but also fall. Dunk mania has not subsided at all and these will not only be great for your personal rotation but to quick flip for some cheddar. Hit up SNKRS app to cop.

Release Date: June 17, 2021
Retail: $110
Resell pre-release: $280 – $460

Nike PG 5 “PlayStation 5”

The PS5 might still be hard to acquire for retail, but fans can grab a pair of basketball sneakers to show their love for the console – the same way Paul George has been a fanatic since he was a kid. Inspired by the white and blue of the next gen gaming platform, PG’s 5th signature sneaker is the perfect canvas to transform. Sony loyalists can cop these on SNKRS app.

Release Date: June 17, 2021
Retail: $120
Resell pre-release: $135 – $260

Supreme x Vans Skate Grosso Mid/Skate Era “S Logo”

Supreme and Vans continue their longstanding partnership this week is a “S Logo” variation of the Skate Grosso Mid and Skate Era. While both pairs feature canvas with the printed logo pattern, the Mid allows for suede to be incorporated as well. I like the pattern here and don’t mind these for retail, especially the black pair. Both styles come in red, blue and black and will drop on Supreme’s webstore and in-store.

Release Date: June 17, 2021, June 19, 2021 (Japan)

adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Mono” Pack

With the first YEEZY GAP release behind us, we turn our focus back onto Ye’s footwear with the Three Stripes. This week, three regional colorways will make a splash in the sneaker market. The Americas will get the “Mono Ice” version while Europe gets the “Mono Mist” while APAC gets a “Mono Clay” iteration. adidas has seen success with this model in the past and there’s no reason to suggest otherwise this time around. I like that you can see the structure underneath the translucent Primeknit material this time around. YEEZY SUPPLY has all three loaded so try your luck there.

Release Date: June 18, 2021
Retail: $220
Resell pre-release: $335 – $475 (Mono Ice), $320 – $660 (Mono Mist), $385 – $520 (Mono Clay)

UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Ballistic”/Nike Dunk Low “Inside Out”

When UNDEFEATED drops a Nike collaboration, you know it’s gonna be a banger. They’ve been doing it for so long that anytime olive drab and ballistic nylon is together on a silhouette, it’s automatically called the “UNDFTD” colorway. This week, they’re dropping an AF1 in that iconic color scheme along with a Dunk Low that celebrates their 2006 “On Your Feet Kid” AF1. These will be very hard to get and as of now, undefeated.com at 8am PDT (11am EST) is your only chance to cop.

Release Date: June 18, 2021
Retail: N/A
Resell pre-release: $210 – $650 (AF1), $260 – $400 (Dunk)

Union LA x Air Jordan 4 “Tent and Trail”

How do you celebrate a brand’s 30th anniversary? Ask Chris Gibbs. The founder of Union LA is going ham with collaborations to celebrate the historic achievement and brings another duo of AJ4s to the scene to do so. The two colorways this time are “Desert Moss” and “Taupe Haze,” the latter will be a Union exclusive. Union announced exclusive access on SNKRS app to select fans for the “Desert Moss” colorway. For everyone else, enter the online raffle/in-store raffle on unionlosangeles.com on June 20 between 9am-11am PDT (12pm-2pm EST). Good luck!

Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker”

If you’re a Porsche fan or car fanatic like myself, the name Magnus Walker will instantly ring a bell. A legend in the tuning community, the livery of Walker’s 911 from his Urban Outlaw film is used as the design inspiration for this pair of Dunk SB Highs. Thanks to SB team rider Ishod Wair, the final product is another work of art (patina is achieved with constant wear). You definitely want this if you’re a car buff or want to make some easy cash. SNKRS app is the plug.

Resell pre-release: $480 – $3,000 (larger sizes)
