Thanksgiving week is upon us which means you’ll probably be doing some shopping. Brands have aligned a lot of releases for this week knowing this so we’ve rounded up the best sneakers releases of the week as usual. All we ask is that you watch out for the safety of yourself and those around you if you’re heading into a physical location. Please wear your mask and practice social distancing and enjoy your holidays. Let’s jump right into it.
Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red”
Since its release in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red” has only seen two retro releases, once in 2012 (without the Nike Air heel branding) and once in 2006 with a Mars Blackmon embossing on the heel panel. So it’s with welcome arms that sneakerheads like myself prepare for this special release that brings back the iconic Nike Air on the heel, original packaging and hangtag. What makes this release even more special is that it comes in a full family size run so everyone can enjoy it. Cop multiple pairs if you can to rock and stock, head over to SNKRS app and select retailers for raffles.
Release Date: November 28, 2020
Retail: $200 (Adult), $140 (Big Kids), $80 (Little Kids), $60 (Toddler)
Resell pre-release: $250 – $400
Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade”
The third and final pair in the Powerwall retro series for the Air Max 1 releases this week. If you’ve been following along, the “Limeade” returned first back in September followed by the “Strawberry Lemonade” colorway earlier this month. The bright yellow hues of this sneaker mixed with the green laces make it a summer must-have for the future so I’d cop and stock. I also love collecting sets so I’ll try my luck at SNKRS app and select retailers.
Release Date: November 25, 2020 (Today)
Retail: $140
Resell pre-release: $150 – $500
Peaceminusone x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Para-noise”
South Korean artist G-Dragon first crafted a collaborative Nike Air Force 1 Low last year. The popular design alongside his Peaceminusone label features thick laces that were worn top down, this flower motif missing a petal, and also distressed midsole and bottom with tearaway material across the upper. The previous version was black and now we’re getting a white variant. I like the message that he’s trying to convey – that there’s a utopia we haven’t reached yet. Head over to local retailers and SNKRS app to cop.
Release Date: November 25, 2020 (Today)
Retail: $200
Resell pre-release: $280 – $610
Air Jordan 1 “Black & Gold”
Jordan Brand is bringing back black and gold on the Air Jordan 1 with a slight twist. This beautiful patent leather combination first turned heads back in 2003 on the AJ1 and for the latest release, slightly more gold has been added to change it up. That increase in gold can be found on the upper heel panel – which was previously black. The gold stitching on the midsole, gold Swoosh and gold Air Jordan Wings logo still hit the same after a 17 year hiatus. These are a definite cop and rock from SNKRS and select retailers.
Release Date: November 30, 2020
Retail: $170
Resell pre-release: $270 – $1,000
Pharrell Williams x adidas Originals HU NMD “White”
After the release of a black pair last week, adidas Originals and Pharrell return this week with a white pair. Once again this HU NMD features the Chinese characters for “Human Race” across the Primeknit upper and BOOST in the midsole for comfort. If you purchased the black pair, I like the idea of having a white pair to match or mismatch. adidas.com/pharrell will have these as well as select retailers.
Release Date: November 27, 2020
Retail: $220
Resell pre-release: $270 – $700
adidas YEEZY BOOST 380 “Onyx”
Kanye West’s YEEZY BOOST 380 silhouette alongside adidas gets a black and dark brown makeover this week with an “Onyx” release. Similar to previous drops, this one will release in both reflective and non-reflective versions. On the reflective version, the Primeknit on the upper with shimmer randomly when hit by light. Head over to adidas.com/yeezy to cop and the Confirmed app.
