Rock, Stock or Flip? This week’s sneaker releases – March 24, 2021

adidas doesn’t give a f*ck that it’s Air Max Day.

It’s no coincidence that adidas has picked this weekend to pump up their release lineup filled with YEEZY goods and collaborations. After all, March 26 is Nike’s annual Air Max Day celebration. The beef between the two brands has forced some sneakerheads to choose their allegiance because you just can’t go for everything if they drop at the same time. Others, resellers, just use bots so they don’t have to choose sides – money is king. Almost none of the pairs from last week’s Hot Cakes were worth holding or trying to flip, but this week’s lineup changes that. Let’s jump right into it.

adidas YEEZY 700 V3 “Kyanite”

It seems every week there’s a new colorway coming out for the handfuls of YEEZY footwear models. This week, the less often seen YEEZY 700 V3 will receive a bright ocean-like makeover. I personally think this color combination looks amazing – shades of blue, cream and gum. I’m sure many of us are already awaiting summer weather even though spring just arrived. Without a BOOST sole, the price is slightly lower for these than other YEEZY models. Always worth a quick flip of around $100, these are a good pair to invest in if you need that extra cash ASAP. adidas.com/yeezy and YEEZY SUPPLY has you covered along with other retailers.

Release Date: March 25, 2021
Retail: $200
Resell pre-release: $300 – $470

Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon”

Originally released back in 2004, the colorway was designed by Dave Ortiz, founder of Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM) and an OG Zoo York skate team member. While DQM no longer exists, Nike is still bringing back the iconic Air Max 90 colorway for Air Max Day. Returning in all its original glory, a new generation of sneakerheads can appreciate the genius of Dave and one of the greatest breakfast foods ever. SNKRS app will release these along with select retailers that are conducting raffles. The price for the original pair has been spiked over the last month so this pair is good for a quick flip or to hold for future Air Max Days.

Release Date: March 26, 2021
Retail: $140
Resell pre-release: $330 – $600

adidas YEEZY FOAM RNNR “Sand” & MXT “Moon Grey”

Remember how I said adidas knows exactly how to fight back against Nike’s Air Max Day earlier in the article? This is the footwear they’re doing it with. Kanye West’s YEEZY FOAM RNNR garnered crazy attention and resell value when it first released last year. The algae-based foam “Ararat” pair retailed for $75 and is still easily commanding a 100% markup today, who knew clogs would be so popular right? With two new colorways set to release this weekend, the “Sand” iteration is perfect for the summer while the MXT “Moon Grey” two-tone variation reminds us of Ye’s love for space. These aren’t technically sneakers but they’re the pairs you want to go after this weekend if your main goal is an easy come up from reselling. adidas.com/yeezy and YEEZY SUPPLY will release these as surprise drops so be ready to fight off those bots.

Release Date: March 26, 2021
Retail: $80
Resell pre-release: $420 – $645 (Sand), $500 – $650 (Moon Grey)

CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death”

Following overseas releases that took place weeks ago, the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” is finally arriving this weekend via SNKRS app. 15 years after the original released, the retro still brings a lot of the same design cues. The best part – they won’t crumble or split on you. As more pairs have become available, the price on these have plummeted which means that as a collector, you can grab some future grails for retail or on the cheap end of resell prices. Personally I’d suggest grabbing a few extra pairs if you have the budget, these are worth holding as the original pairs become less and less wearable with each passing year.

Release Date: March 27, 2021
Retail: $150
Resell pre-release: $210 – $350

END. x adidas Continental 80 MIG “German Engineering”

This capsule might be my favorite adidas collaboration of the year so far – and it’ll be hard to top. As a racing fan, I immediately understood the references to classic BMW and Porsche racing colors and teams on both pairs of sneakers. The combination of leather on the uppers and suede overlays adds that luxury feel that we’ve come to expect from modern day vehicles crafted by both manufacturers. The cream/white pair specifically references off-track livery colors from the ’60s and ’70s while the white/dark marine/clear pair obviously pays homage to the BMW M Sport and Martini Racing Porsche liveries. Since both pairs are 1/500 and made in Germany, they’ll be extremely hard to get a hold of through END.’s raffle and are worth holding onto if you want to resell. I need a pair for a day at the track personally, so hit me up if you manage to secure a pair.

Release Date: March 27, 2021
Retail: $235
Resell pre-release: N/A

Pharrell Williams x adidas Originals HU NMD “Pink”

Following the release of his “Triple Black” collection last week, Pharrell and adidas are back with another HU NMD. This time around, the pink silhouette features the Chinese characters for “HUMAN RACE” embroidered across the top while a black sockliner adds contrast and cream laces finishes off the cherry blossom/sakura vibes. A perfect pair for the spring, the bubblegum pink won’t be for everyone and as such, these should only be copped as personal pairs, not worth holding or trying to flip. Head over to adidas.com/pharrell to cop.

Release Date: March 27, 2021
Retail: $220
Resell pre-release: $210 – $335

Nike Air Structure “OG”

Not a lot of people show the Air Structure Triax the respect that it’s due. That should change this year as the model celebrates its 30th anniversary. With an exposed Air unit like many other runners that were created during that era in Nike’s history, the contrasting white mesh from the grey and black suede as well as the bright blue and red detailing can be seen in the DNA of over 20 models since 1991. Perfect for a day out, a light jog, driving or as a display piece, these underrated sneakers are a great personal pair or hold. Hit up SNKRS app and select retailers to cop.

Release Date: March 30, 2021
Retail: $120
Resell pre-release: $180 – $375
