In addition to claiming lives, the coronavirus has threatened the livelihood of thousands by forcing businesses everywhere to temporary shutter in the wake of social distancing policies. With limited to no revenue coming in, the future of your favorite barbershop is likely in limbo. Thankfully, our friends at SQUIRE have launched HelpBarberShops.com – an ongoing resource for shop owners during the pandemic.
From video tutorials on how to apply for federal grants to alternative modes of funding, the tech company has centralized dozens of links and tools to help sustain shops during this difficult time. The website will be updated in live-time, as specifics regarding the outbreak and economy continue to become available.
“It’s a two-way street,” says SQUIRE founder Songe LaRon, “whether it’s temporarily waiving subscription fees or streamlining business support resources, we want to do everything in our power to support the same shops that have supported us. This is our community.”

Taking it one step further, the team also announced that they’re developing a gift card system for customers to purchase credits from their favorite shops/barbers to be redeemed after the pandemic. This way, customers can invest in the future of the businesses they love.
SQUIRE has always been community-oriented and their latest efforts are no exception.
