After the major success of The Mandolorian, Disney+ is bringing us a new series, centered around the life of famed Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. While Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most well-known characters in the Star Wars universe, not much is known about his life prior to his entanglements with the Skywalker family. This has left many fans to create theories about his life, taking clues from the prequels, original saga, and the animated series.

This project has been highly anticipated and many Star Wars fans have been sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for any information about the upcoming series. On March 29, Disney revealed the cast with familiar Star Wars faces, familiar celebrities, and newcomers alike.

Something that I am over the moon about is the return of Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker. Another familiar face we will see is Joel Edgerton, who (I am assuming) will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker’s stepbrother and acting-father for Luke Skywalker, Owen Lars. The familiar celebrities that will be starring alongside these Star Wars veterans are Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Sung Kang.

Kenobi is slated to start production this month and will be exclusively streamed on Disney+.
