Remember the transparent Air Max 96 that Nike and Supreme dropped back in May for Spring/Summer 2021? Well, the two are joining forces again. This time, the chosen silhouette is the Cross Trainer Low.

Air Trainer history

Fans of Bo Jackson will be familiar with the Air Trainer model as the low-top iteration is derived from the Air Trainer SC that Bo made famous as well as the Air Trainer 3 model with a mid-foot strap. Because Bo was so such a talented multi-sport athlete, the sneakers had to keep up. The ’80s and ’90s were known for vibrant colors and that included the Air Trainer 3 “Medicine Ball,” Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” and of course the Air Trainer SC “Auburn.”

Supreme x Nike Cross Trainer Low

On this collaboration, Supreme and Nike have crafted the upper from premium leather. A perforated leather toe box is complemented with dazzle mesh on the tongue and heel panels. Additional tongue details include a raised debossed logo and DURAPLUSH material – also used on the sock liner. You can find co-branded embroidery on the heel as well.

There is a unique blending on shapes and curves on the Air Trainer Low that makes it visually appealing. Not only are there waves and circular curves on the lateral and medial panels, but also triangles on the heel and flex grooves.

For this Fall/Winter 2021 drop, two colorways were chosen for the low-top sneakers; Rasta and Gucci-inspired looks. The Rasta pair comes in white/yellow/red/green while the Gucci ones arrive in black/green/red. Both pairs of sneakers will release with a co-branded red hang tag.
