Supreme x Nike SB Blazer Mid returns this week

2 new colorways, 16 years later.

In 2006, a few years after the initial release of the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low and High, the duo reconnected on 3 pairs of Blazer Mids. The quilted leather upper, faux snakeskin Swoosh, debossed logo, and “Gucci”-esque colors on the heel sent sneakerheads into a frenzy. Now, 16 years later, Supreme and Nike SB are bringing back that design with some reworked colors.

The originals

The three original colorways that released in 2006 were the “Sail,” “Varsity Red,” and “Black” variations. Like previously mentioned, their construction screamed high-end luxury, which was unheard of on a skate shoe. Quilted leather on the upper fused with the bulky rubber outsole was the perfect formula for success.

Details that included a debossed logo, gold tips on the laces, fat laces, and a gold hook on the heel above a Gucci colorway embroidery finished off the ultra lux vibes of the sneakers.

Getting your hands on the set back in the day meant trading a lot of sneakers or thousands of dollars. All 3 still carry great value on the resell market to this day.

The new release

This week, Supreme and Nike SB are only going to give us two pairs to choose from, but that’s better than nothing. The black pair will be made using the quilted leather that we’re familiar with. The blue pair will introduce us to quilted denim.

Both pairs will feature the same faux snakeskin the originals had but this time in a brown style. Additionally, the gold tips on the laces, gold D-Ring tab on the heel and debossed logo return.

How to cop

This week, Supreme didn’t require sign-ups so it will be first come first serve at all Supreme store locations and Dover Street Market locations. If you wanted to purchase pieces online, hit up supremenework.com at 11am ET on September 8.
