Supreme and Nike SB reunite on Dunk High for SS22

“By Any Means.”

Around this time last year, Supreme and Nike SB reunited to give us extremely hyped Dunk Lows inspired by their first collaboration from 2002. Now, in celebration of Nike SB’s 20th anniversary, the duo have once again taken the Dunk High and drawn from history to give us three new models.

The inspiration

For Spring/Summer 2022, the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High receives a leather upper with embroidered graphics — a vast contrast from their 2003 counterpart that featured lux crocodile skin, a fat tongue, gold lace locks and gold star graphics on the midsole.

Instead of drawing from the original blue, orange and red trio of colorways, this release draws inspiration from old school Dunk Low colorways like the 2001 Brazil Dunk Low and 2002 Varsity Red/Midnight Blue Dunk Low, as well as the reverse Panda look.

The design

Once again releasing in a pack of three, this year’s Dunk Highs aren’t as loud but still have their unique design cues that sneakerheads will fall in love with.

For starters, the mudguard features a “NO LOVE” embroidered design which transitions into “By Any Means” on the heel. The “NY” part of “Any” switches up the font and includes a Swoosh running through the New York lettering.

On the upper part of the heel, “Supreme Team” is stitched in. It doesn’t stop there though, Supreme adds a branded insole inside the sneaker in red and the tongue tab says “SUP” with a Swoosh running through it. Finally, a “World Famous Supreme” hang tag is offered.

Like we said earlier, three colors will drop: green/yellow, navy/red and white/black.

Other Supreme x Nike drops

Supreme and Nike team up every season to give the fans some new footwear to cop. In recent years, we’ve seen them take a liking to models like the Nike Air Max 96 and Nike Cross Trainer Low.

It’s great to see Supreme and Nike SB pay homage to the two models that fans have long held in high regard. Good luck to everyone trying to cop.
