At the end of May, Supreme and Nike teamed up to give us an apparel collection that featured heavily in corduroy and camo. Now, nearly a month later, the duo are back to drop off some running gear in the form of the Nike Shox Ride 2 and some running caps.

History

If you grew up watching the era of Vince Carter dunking all over the place, then you will without a doubt remember him wearing the Nike Shox BB4. First released in 2000, Nike Shox instantly took the world by storm. Not only did the basketball version drop, it was soon followed by the R4, TL and XT.

In European countries, the same way that various Air Max silhouettes are praises, the Shox have their own community of diehard fans and collectors. There is no mistaking the signature spring-like design of each pair of Nike Shox and nothing compares to the feeling of having them on your feet during a basketball pick-up game or nice jog.

The collection

Supreme has chosen the Shox Ride 2 model for their collaboration and have taken the iconic Shox at the back and given each one Supreme branding. Honestly, we didn’t know that would even be possible.

The sneakers feature a mesh upper paired with a leather tongue, nubuck panels and DURAPLUSH lining. The rubber outsole with Shox pillar airbags are the standout feature as previously mentioned.

To match the sneakers, there are also Running Hats. Made from Dri-FIT mesh and embroidered with reflective co-branded logos and a webbing strap, the hats will match the colors of the sneakers.

You can select from red, black, white and olive for the pieces.

How to cop

The weekly raffle for line spots already took place earlier this morning for Brooklyn, Manhattan, Los Angeles and San Francisco locations. Supreme will accept walk-ins starting at 12:30pm ET on June 23. If you wanted to purchase pieces online, hit up supremenework.com at 11am ET on June 23. Customers in Japan should check it with their local shops on June 25 for the release and follow local protocol.

Supreme asks that everyone follow local health and safety measures.
