Footage started circulating on the internet showing a Tesla Model 3 making a roundtrip between San Francisco and Los Angeles using its Autopilot Full Self-Driving mode, without any human intervention. Ladies and gentlemen, we are officially in the future.
The footage, which was released by Whole Mars Catalog—a YouTube channel entirely dedicated to testing out Tesla’s Autopilot FSD functionality, showed how the drive was made possible because of the Beta version of Tesla’s software (as well as the fact that the entire round trip was made without human intervention). Though the Model 3 had to stop twice for charging due to its limited range, Whole Mars Catalog explained that this actually demonstrates fully Tesla’s ability to navigate all roads including rural areas.
Check out the entire video for yourself, and marvel, just like us, at this new age of fully self-driving cars.
