Cactus Jack for McDonald’s will officially launch on September 8 and will feature a $6 meal that includes the Travis Scott sandwich – a Quarter Pounder with Cheese plus lettuce and bacon – medium fried with BBQ sauce and a medium Sprite. Laflame also designed custom apparel for the McDonald’s crew and an action figure. The duo will explore charities to donate to during the month-long program.
“I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life. We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have in store,” Travis said.
“Everyone has a favorite McDonald’s meal, no matter who you are. Travis is a true McDonald’s fan having grown up visiting our restaurants in Houston, not to mention one of the biggest musical acts and cultural icons in the world. This is the first time in nearly 30 years we’ve introduced a superstar’s name to our menu – we’re excited to bring the Travis Scott Meal to a McDonald’s near you starting next week,” added McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley.
Head over to your nearest McDonald’s next Tuesday to cop, the collaboration will run through October 4. McDonald’s hasn’t featured a celebrity on its menu since 1992, when MJ himself had the honor. Fans will also remember the Famous Orders campaign from the Super Bowl earlier this year which could be foreshadowing even more collabs down the line.
