Are your playlists popping? Do you get the party started whenever you get passed the aux cord? Are you known to curate the lit vibes? If so, Triller may have a $1 million job for you and it may be the best job ever. The video-sharing social networking platform frequented by gen Zers and millennials announced that it is officially on the lookout for an in-house DJ.
Triller is searching for its first official Resident DJ. The full-time gig comes with a $1 million salary, a lot of cool points and a hefty set of responsibilities. The job description for the once-in-a-lifetime role includes making appearances on behalf of the Triller brand and helping curate music programming for brand partnerships. And of course, the Resident DJ is expected to showcase their skills on the ones-and-twos for Triller live events and programming such as Triller Fight Club, Triller Live, FITE, and Verzuz, which is now owned by Triller.
Superproducers and Verzuz co-founders Timbaland and Swizz Beatz will lend their expertise to assist with identifying Triller’s original Resident DJ. “We’re excited to help find Triller’s new Resident DJ, which will be a DJ gig like no other,” said Swizzy and Timbo in a joint statement. “The Verzuz audience knows what’s up, so when the voting begins you can be sure the winning DJ will be someone who has all the right stuff. We can’t wait to discover the next superstar behind the decks.”
The competition, which began on July 13 is expected to last for 30 days. On August 8, 16 finalists will be revealed. The finalists that skillfully step up to the challenge will then battle it out in the Verzuz arena until there are two DJs remaining. The final showdown between the remaining two will take place during September’s monthly TrillerVerz match up. A viewing audience will vote to decide who the final winner will be.
Aspiring Triller Resident DJs can be located anywhere in the world in order to participate. While the job will be based in Los Angeles, California, it will require an extensive amount of travel.
If you think you have what it takes to be a Triller Resident DJ and are at least 18-years-old with a valid passport, you can easily enter the competition. It’s as simple as uploading a five-minute video showing off your best DJ set along with the #TrillerDJ hashtag.
