What we’re looking out for from the upcoming Paramount+ lineup

Are you entertained!? If not, just wait on it, because there’s a new kid on the block in the streaming wars. ViacomCBS’ Paramount+ premiered earlier this month and has already begun to shake things up with its interesting lineup. Benefiting from the merger between CBS Corp. and Viacom Inc., the newly formed media conglomerate has access to a shitload of content. It can tap into the catalogues of channels such as CBS, BET, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime, Comedy Central and Smithsonian, as well as the archives of Paramount Pictures. ViacomCBS has so far unveiled that timeless material from Yo MTV Raps to childhood classics like Rugrats are set to return. It seems like Paramount+ will have something for everybody. Here’s what we’re looking out for from the Paramount+ lineup.

 

Frasier

What we know so far: Kelsey Grammer is reprising his role in the 2022 relaunch of the Emmy Award-winning sitcom.

 

Behind The Music

Originally aired on: VH1
What we know so far: The documentary series is slated to examine the lives and careers of a new generation of stars.

 

Unplugged

Originally aired on: MTV
What we know so far: MTV’s Unplugged series returned earlier this year with the BTS boys performing hits like “Telepathy” and “Dynamite.”

 

The Real World

Originally aired on: MTV
What we know so far: The new The Real World era will see The Real World Homecoming: New York catching up with the reality tv series’ original NYC cast.

 

Beavis and Butt-Head

Originally aired on: MTV
What we know so far: The controversial dynamic duo Beavis and Butt-Head will be back to their old antics with a new film premiering in 2022.

 

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Originally aired on: Nickelodeon
What we know so far: New series, spin offs and a film inspired by the Avatar: The Last Airbender are in the works.

 

SpongeBob SquarePants

Originally aired on: Nickelodeon
What we know so far: Fans of SpongeBob and crew are being treated to a new movie and a new series called Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years.

 

Rugrats

Originally aired on: Nickelodeon
What we know so far: The updated version of the cartoon that introduced us to Tommy, Chuckie and Angelica will feature the voice actors from the original Rugrats series.

 

The Game

Originally aired on: The CW
What we know so far: We so far only know that the hit football-themed show that starred Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall and others will make its return at some point.

 

Halo

Video game originally premiered in: 2001
What we know so far: Inspired by the popular video game franchise of the same name, the science fiction series is slated to premiere next year.
