Teeth cleaning is expensive. And since we are in a pandemic, you probably aren’t frequenting your dentist. And we get it, your mask is hopefully on when you’re outside so no one is seeing your smile but that doesn’t mean teeth maintenence should take a vacation. So much of what we consume can cause our teeth to yellow – red wine, black coffee, and most highly pigmented fruit can stain your teeth by binding to the surface. If you’d like to turn your stained teeth to pearly whites, read on.

Why does it seem like diet can fix so many things – digestion issues, health concerns, glowing skin and also whiter teeth. The whiter the foods you eat, the whiter your teeth will be.

Anything that says “whitening” is great but go the extra mile and opt for a toothpaste with baking soda or charcoal in it. Baking soda is a natural cleaning and oxidizing agent. Charcoal toothpastes will strengthen gums, remove toxins and absorb bacteria.

This one surprised us, but apparently coconut oil can be used not only on your body and cooking, but also your teeth. Used as a mouthwash, try swishing around a tablespoon of coconut oil for 5-15 minutes. Sounds like a long time but the benefits are unmatched. This traditional Indian technique pulls bacteria from your gums and prevents stains from sticking, decreasing plaque formation and gingivitis.

Modernize your daily routine and purchase an electric toothbrush. Electric brushes can remove up to 70% more plaque than manual toothbrushes.

The thing about white stripes is they do whiten your teeth but they are time consuming and need to be done frequently. Luckily there is an alternative. Labeled as the tide-to-go pen for the mouth, the Luster Premium 2 Minute White Stripe is perfect for dates, important meetings and everything in between. A guarantee of up to six shades whiter in three days, this stuff is magic. It’s enamel safe and has no sulfates so it will do no harm to your gums or the workings of your mouth. What it will do is give you sparkly white teeth.
